Block halving, posted Jul 16, 2014 at 07:19

Blocks are now worth 62500 due to the halving, good luck mining!

Welcome back?, posted Jul 12, 2014 at 16:05

Looks like a bunch of hash has jumped back on and we are getting blocks at a reasonable rate again...
Welcome back to our pool! Upvote us on reddit! We appreciate your help!
Thanks for mining with us!

wow much long, posted Apr 30, 2014 at 12:17

long block was long
Just giving a heads up that the second halvening happened yesterday and blocks are now 125,000 Dogecoin each, hopefully the price on exchanges continues to rise so that this does not matter much for us miners.
Thanks for mining!

Now using node-stratum-pool, posted Apr 24, 2014 at 06:38

Testing out a new stratum server, should run entirely better than the old one as it uses node rather than python.
Nothing has to be done on your side and you are already sending shares to this new stratum server.

DDOS, posted Apr 16, 2014 at 04:34

Sorry for the downtime earlier today.

We had a severe DDOS attack that seems to have ended.
Happy mining.

Welcome Miners, posted Apr 3, 2014 at 09:06

Many blocks since the fork, amazing job everyone.
Would love to see more of you in our chat on IRC: #dogepool or the embedded chat on the site.

Thank you new miners and veterans for mining with us, we couldn't do it without you!

Blocks and 240 Confirms, posted Mar 18, 2014 at 09:15

Blocks are happening again and we are forked correctly to the 1.6 chain.

Some change that you need to know about:

  • Reward Amount: Each block is now worth a static 250,000 Dogecoin.
  • Confirm Time: Dogecoin blocks now require 240 confirms before the coin is mature and allowed to be sent. This generally will take around 4 hours, rather than the 30 minutes it used to take(50 Confirms). This is to prevent coin dumping by pools and it's quite a interesting change. Please be patient and your coin will be marked as confirmed soon enough.
Hopefully we start getting blocks frequently again!
Thanks for mining with us.

Dogecoin Version 1.6, posted Mar 13, 2014 at 12:33

A new version of Dogecoin has been released, please update to the latest version: Download Here
You may have been noticing small block rewards lately, this is due to big multipools that are gaming the system causing the small blocks. This is being fixed in the next version of Dogecoin and it will be implemented on block 145,000, which will happen around four days from the time of this posting.
Our pool has already updated and is ready to hash when the fork of the chain happens:
"version" : 1060000
Check out for more information.
After this update to 1.6, Dogecoin will be losing its random block rewards and will be a static 250,000 Dogecoin per block.
Due to this we will no longer be able to provide the block guessing game as there will be nothing to guess.
If you would like to continue playing block guessing, I will be moving it to our Flappycoin pool, which still has random block rewards! Enjoy the Dogecoin version while you still can!

Thanks for hashing with us!

Back to Normal, posted Feb 18, 2014 at 06:21

If you see a payout in your transactions log and it has not shown up in your wallet, make sure you are:
A. On the latest wallet software: 1.5.2 (Download @
B. Not in the list mentioned above:
Please be patient!

Edit: I've enabled sendmany and it seems to be sending in a much quicker way: transaction

It should hopefully stop transactions from lagging in the future.

Fork 1.5.1, posted Feb 18, 2014 at 01:13

All mining you were doing was being done on the correct 1.5 chain and is currently still being done on the correct chain. The site frontend/payments were being made on 1.4.1 due to transaction issues that were happening in the past few weeks, and the site frontend/payments were automatically halted when the fork of that wallet took place.

Right now the server is downloading the 1.5 chain on the frontend and site stats will be very off as it goes though the chain and resyncs, this will be fixed soon, please be patient as the chain resyncs!

Once again, you can continue mining, blocks that have happened during the frontend resync/wallet fork will be added to your account once the frontend has caught up if we have found any blocks.

Thanks again for your patience!

100,000 Blocks and Updated Layout, posted Feb 14, 2014 at 11:08

Happy Block Halving!
The block reward is now a random 1-500,000 Dogecoin.
Hash harder people!
I've reset your block guess if you have guessed higher than 500k, don't miss this block!

To celebrate, I have updated the website layout!
Few things to note: A password reset has to be sent from this domain in order to use it, the domain uses a different salt for passwords and it will not be able to log you in under your old password. Also make sure you clear your cookies/cache as it possibly will error out and leave you in a login loop. The salting mechanism for pins have been changed as well, you can send yourself a new randomized pin via the bottom right of Edit Account.

If you do the password reset you will no longer be able to login via, and if you do a pin reset you wont be able to use that account at all on, so choose wisely if you like the old layout.
I will not be reverting pin changes!

You don't have to use it and the old is here to stay, but you may have been noticing weird hashrate on workers on that layout. The new site is much more accurate and has live statistics, as well as a really cool dashboard. It is much faster overall.

Check it out!

Pending Transaction Tool, posted Feb 12, 2014 at 16:55

Dogecoin v1.5 transactions are experiencing lag in broadcasting to the blockchain when a large amount of transactions are made at the same time by one wallet. (Dogecoin Issue #232)

This causes transactions to show up in the transaction log as being sent even though these transactions are actually still waiting to be broadcast to the blockchain.

If you would like to see if your transaction is still processing, please enter your Dogecoin Address into this tool and it will bring up any transactions that have been made to your address by the pool.

Pending Transactions and Chat, posted Feb 7, 2014 at 22:09

Currently the chain seems to lag in sending transactions in version 1.5.

If you really are impatient you can check where you are in the pending transactions list: pendingtransactions

(find your dogecoin address and if it says "confirmations" : 0 means you are still waiting to be paid out.)

Waiting for this to be fixed:

The chat on the site has been removed and is only available on IRC, so if you want to chat you can find us on IRC: or #dogepool

dogecoind v1.3, posted Dec 26, 2013 at 16:03

We have just upgraded to dogecoind v1.3.

Default network TXFee is now 1 dogecoin, so our pool updated to reflect that.
This is network wide so every pool must make this change.
Minimum payment also set to 2 to prevent anyone from being sent less than 1 dogecoin at a time.

Just making sure a explanation was given for this change.

Server Back + Rollback, posted Dec 21, 2013 at 01:17

The servers have had to be rolled back after the attacks, if you feel you have helped in mining and did not receive payment, please email me with your doge address with the support form above and what your hashrate was and I will be happy to send your payment!

With that said, our new server has a Intel Core i5 2500K/8GB DDR3 RAM so hopefully this works better than our last one.

Dogecoin on Cryptsy and Coins-E, posted Dec 19, 2013 at 13:16

Dogecoin is now on two large currency exchanges, our pool has been updated to reflect cryptsy prices. Lets see doge go to the moon!

Account Balance, posted Dec 19, 2013 at 01:59

Some confusion seems to be happening about "Unconfirmed", "Confirmed" and the "Account Balance" related to your account.

The way these are calculated is via actual found block count and the amount of coin received in the block generation, which is currently a random number between 0-1 Million for dogecoin.

When a block is found, funds will be added to your "Unconfirmed" section, then after 120 confirms from the blockchain, the balance is made into a "Confirmed" balance.

This is currently how most, if not all pools work. Balances will be updated the second we actually have a block solve in order to actually fund a payout, help us get one!

New Pool Server, posted Dec 18, 2013 at 02:23

Server seems to be stable now, please re-register your account.

Accounts with remaining balances have been cleared and paid out, please email via Support on the Left if you feel that you had a actual balance didn't receive your balance!
